GAP TRAVEL

Peru is an important country in the region, and is diverse, with 3 very different regions…the Pacific Coast, the Amazon, and the Highlands/Andes, so it is an interesting place to visit on gap travels.

There are some really interesting and world class attractions to see on your gap travels , such as Machu Picchu, Cuzco, The Nazca Lines and the Amazon city of Iquitos.  Any gap travel itinerary in Latin America should include Peru, which was a major commercial centre for the Inca people and subsequently the Spanish Conquistadors.

The capital Lima is worth a few days of your gap travel itinerary at most, head off instead to Arequipa, Puno, and Machu Piccu. Take the train on your gap trip along the Urubamba Valley to Machu Picchu and include a great white water experience on the river.
